United Methodist Church – Somerville, MA

BBA provided design services for the relocation of the College Avenue United Methodist Church. The client wanted a space that would be conducive to the growth of the congregation by appealing to a young audience. The design goal was to create a contemporary atmosphere that is welcoming and functional. The work included structural upgrades to an existing envelope, a new HVAC system, and a complete storefront façade redesign. The new program for the church consists of 3,600 SF of classrooms, worship area, multi-purpose space, commercial kitchen, café, and restrooms.
