Taunton Central Fire Station is reportedly the oldest working fire station in Massachusetts. After a 15,900 sq ft feasibility study on the main truck bay floor was completed, structural modifications and interior renovations were made, including a new reinforced concrete floor slab with wear slab to promote longevity, additional handicapped accessible improvements and new bathrooms on the first floor were built, including a new accessible toilet rooms and a new shower room with accessible shower. A state-of-the-art damproofing and natural clay system to provide waterproofing was designed for the project.
